Cat Island is about four miles south of downtown Beaufort and is home to South Carolina National Golf Club, www.scnational.com, an 18 hole championship golf club designed by George Cobb in 1984. There are various neighborhoods on Cat Island with homesites on the golf course, marshfront, tidal creek and deepwater.
